| Customer Reviews: Interesting Anthology...very interesting February 6, 2010 S. Brown (La Mesa, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was looking for a military romance and came across this one as a title I might be interested in. The price wasn't up my alley, but I figured what the heck! I've bought worse hardbacks for more! Yet, I'm so glad I bought this book. It's an anthology not be missed.
Generally, I don't like anthologies because they are disjointed and wired together by string. However, what's so fascinating about this anthol is all three stories are tied together. The premise is three identical triplets who vow never to marry military men because they were all military brats who disliked their father's military regiment. The three sister, Lily, Daisy, and Holly (flowers anyone???) are so determined they make a pact to never marry military men in a public bathroom when they were young. Of course, they can't escape destiny and their destiny is with military men.
What I really liked about this book is that all the stories were connected. I was actually reading one long story written by three different authors. Since each author had a differing style this worked for me and I wasn't bored. I was also thoroughly pleased that the stories were somewhat true to military life...somewhat.
I've read KM before and M. Schroeder, but I'm new to A. Brooks. The writing styles of the authors are different and intriguingly interestly, but I was happy this didn't disappoint.

A fun anthology. This was a quick read but with very interesting character development.
